Orfeo era cantante y músico. Eurídice y Orfeo se enamoraron. El día de la boda una serpiente venenosa mató a Eurídice. Orfeo bajó al mundo de los muertos para pedir a Hades, dios del inframundo, que se la devolvieran. Lo pidió con su música y sus cantos, Hadés se lo concedió con la condición de que no mirara hacia atrás hasta que salieran del inframundo. Euridice tenia todavía un pie en este cuando Orfeo miró hacia atrás y Eurídice se desvaneció para siempre.
Orpheus was a singer and musician. Eurydice and Orpheus fell in love. On the day of the wedding a poisonous snake killed Eurydice. Orpheus went down to the world of the dead to ask Hades, god of the underworld, to return her. He asked with his music and his songs, Hadés granted it on condition that he not looked back until they left the underworld. Euridice still had one foot in it when Orpheus looked back and Eurydice vanished forever.
Orpheus was een zanger en muzikant. Eurydice en Orpheus werden verliefd. Op de dag van de bruiloft doodde een giftige slang Eurydice. Orpheus ging naar de wereld van de doden om Hades, de god van de onderwereld, te vragen haar terug te brengen. Hij vroeg met zijn muziek en zijn liedjes, Hadés verleende het op voorwaarde dat hij niet terugkeek tot ze de onderwereld verlieten. Euridice had nog één voet erin toen Orpheus terugkeek en Eurydice voor altijd verdween.
